About us
Over 35 Years of Cumulative Expertise
Since the creation of STIM by David Marchand in 2009, the company has experienced sustained growth, driven by a clear vision: to structure, professionalize, and raise the standards of industrial maintenance in Quebec.
Over the years, this ambition has materialized through a rigorous development strategy and targeted acquisitions, allowing the construction of a more integrated, high-performing, and results-oriented organization. This evolution led to the creation of Groupe PMI, which today brings together three complementary business units.
To the maintenance expertise of STIM was thus added that of PIERVAN, a company established since 1989, recognized for the execution of major projects and industrial mechanical installation (not subject to construction regulations), as well as that of FAB PSI, originating from the construction company EDB founded in 1984, specialized in large-scale industrial manufacturing.
This depth of expertise, coupled with a structured and performance-oriented approach, positions Groupe PMI as a leading industrial partner in Quebec and Canada, capable of supporting its clients in the most demanding environments.

FAB PSI (formerly Construction EDB)
Foundation of Construction EDB, specializing in mechanical, piping, and industrial welding. → Development of strong expertise in welded-assembly and heavy fabrication.
Creation of PIERVAN
Creation of PIERVAN Maintenance Service. → Development of expertise in installation and maintenance projects (Piping, welding, pressure vessels, mechanics).
Creation of STIM
Foundation of STIM by David Marchand.
→ Vision: to structure

Savignac – Acquisition
Strategic acquisition of Savignac (with 25 workers), enriching the group’s skills and global service offering.
Growth & Structuring
Grew from 1 employee to 250 employees in 10 years. Expansion of STIM’s activities, development of field teams and implementation of advanced maintenance standards.
Strategic Acquisitions
Acquisition of Service d’entretien PIERVAN + Atelier de construction EDB.
